ddotdash: a mobile morse keyboard

Stop laughing and try it on your iPhone. Load it up in Safari, click the "+" and choose "Add to home screen" to make it a full-screen app. Other mobiles may also work, let me know!

This is an experiment in touch-typing for mobiles. It does not save your text. The code is GPL and posted to GitHub. Email me at carlos@bueno.org if you'd like to help out. Read the original essay and the design notes.

Known bugs:

The code is a modified International Morse. Specifically I've added a "Shift" alphabet and a lot more punctuation. Accented characters are moved out to make room for punctuation (sorry, Sweden).

There are 6 buttons instead of the standard 1 to make it faster to type longer codes. For example you can enter "i" as [.][.] or simply [..]. The character sequence automatically ends about 300 milliseconds after the last button press.
